As an ongoing project the second phase of donations were distributed in September.

On the 24th of September members of the Tsunami Relief Committee visited Kirinda, and participated in a function to hand over the gift under the Second Stage of the Project. The following items were donated:

Meeting of the members of the Masjidul Jamiah Tsunami Relief Committee & The Kirinda Committee held on 7th May 2005 at Chandrika Hotel, Tissamaharama to select the Recipients of the four boats.

- Medical Care – Fathima Rukshana – On an initiative by a Committee Member, who donated Rs: 50,000/-, the patient was brought to Colombo for consultation by Dr. Maxie Fernandopillai, for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Fernandopillai, confirmed the original diagnosis, that the child is beyond medical treatment. Only Physiotherapy and Speech therapy can develop the child to a certain extent.

On the 24th of September members of the Tsunami Relief Committee visited Kirinda, and participated in a function to hand over the gift. Members of the Tsunami Relief Committee – President Mr. TF Iyne, Vice Presidents Mr. MK Raban & Mr. AR Pallie, Hony. Secretary Mr. SF Yahiya and Mr. Nizar & Mr. TZ Raban with Mr. Jalaldeen, Principal – Kirinda Muslim Maha Vidyalaya attended the handing over of the Boats, Sewing Machines & Bicycles on 24th September 2005.
